Anatolian Shepherd originated in Turkey. They were, and still are used as guards stada.Anatoliju Shepherd was bred to the extreme climatic conditions of Turkey, making them able to withstand extreme heat and cold in the Anatolian plateau.
About health with this dog, Prone to hypothyroidism or eyelid entropion. Hip dysplasia is not the case, but not as common as in other large breeds. They are sensitive to anesthesia. Anatolian Shepherd immunity often takes longer to develop than with many other breeds and therefore you should talk to your veterinarian about young Anatolians additional vaccination against parvo virus.
